Get your message of hurricane safety and services out in front of Volusia County residents and visitors during the 2019 Hurricane Expo being held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Volusia County Fairgrounds.
Volusia County Emergency Management, Community Organizations Active in Disasters (COAD) and the Volusia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce are partnering to bring this important safety event to the community.
Event organizers are currently accepting sponsorships and vendor applications to offset the costs of providing vital information to our community about actions that should be taken before, during and after a hurricane. This includes such things as: securing needed insurance; safeguarding homes; disaster supply kits; pet planning; small business preparedness; and much more.
10 x 10 indoor vendor space is available on a first come, first serve basis, for $50 and includes a table and two chairs. Sponsorship levels range from $500 to $5,000.
The Volusia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has setup a paypal link as a convenient way to sponsor this event: https://www.volusiachamber.org/2019hurricaneexpo
Admission is free for the general public and includes refreshments, safety demonstrations and guest speakers. Keynote speaker is Ken Bouvier, New Orleans EMS Deputy Chief of Operations. He serves as Commander for Mardi Gras and assumed command of Field Operations days following Hurricane Katrina.
To secure your sponsorship or vendor table, email COAD Co-Chair Frank Bruno at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 386-341-2021.
Thank you for your support of this important community safety event.
